Oxyfuel cutting uses oxygen and fuel gas to produce a flame that heats the metal until it is hot. Once it is hot, a stream of pure oxygen reacts with the metal to create slag (molten metal). Then the force of oxygen blows the slag away cutting the metal. Oxyfuel cutting is best suited for use on thick plates.
